The Land of Tiger
Jacksonville Zoo’s The Land of Tiger exhibit was wildly different than many other zoo exhibits we’ve been involved with. This was the first project Edge Themed Environments has worked on where the zoo allows the animals to truly roam around. Animals are able to travel into different environments by route of shoots. Some shoots are even visible to the public, where you are able to watch the transfer of an animal from one exhibit into another.
“With themed work, you want to work with people who understand your goals and parameters and deliver accordingly. Edge does that and makes it even better.”
The land of Tigers exhibit was constructed in 2014, and has unique features such as a large scratching post, a bacon scented bubble machine and a strangler fig tree root system that allows the tigers to hide and play.
